Principle of the heat exchanger plates of types FP 04 ... FP 80 is the asymmetrically corrugated embossed pattern. With one plate type several gap cross sections different in size can be created. This series is creating 9 gap cross sections, enabling a counter-flow of media with different viscosity in one unit.
The heat exchanger plates of series FP 405 ... FP 130 have a normal sine-profile. 3 different gap types can be created.
Adaptation to the required thermal length and to the max allow. pressure drop by determination of the mixing ratio of 2 gap types each on the hot side and cold side. First it will be checked which plate type (FP 04, 08, 14, 20, 31, 40, 50, 41, 60, 80, 405, 70, 100, 130) is required at least, basing on the given flow rate (observance of the limiting velocity of 6 m/s in connection).
Next the required quantity of plates will be calculated. Objective is always the smallest possible heat exchange surface at lowest possible price, complying with all limiting conditions.
